A situation is alive through the dynamics of what initiates it. What sets everything in motion? What is mana? What is this fluid, energy, force, or whatever it is, that permeates everything, giving it life? Even if everything were reduced to material energy, the question of what animates it would still remain. Science does not know the answer. Perhaps it is digging in the wrong place. The initiative described makes it possible to enter this question and/or seek an answer through action itself. The performance is open in character and anyone can take part. It is enough to be where the event will take place while it is happening. What matters is simply doing something. It can be watching, commenting, silence; it can be a shout, dance, painting, speaking, sculpting, constructing, playing, destroying, interfering, etc. The essence will remain the same. What makes you do something? It is not about the answer but about the very feeling of it. We are the answer.
Spokojna. The name of this street expresses its essence: peaceful. This was one of the most peaceful performances of my life. It was about mana, that is, the essence of existence, about existence itself. About movement, life, activity. One could come and feel something close to everyone who came. The question was why we are unable to do nothing, what is this force that continually makes us do something? A subject as important as breath. An ordinary and simple situation depended on its creators, and since I alone was the creator, it was very quiet, and yet something was happening. During the four-hour action, 6 people appeared there. They noticed that this performance was not a beautiful and easy presentation but a part of life. They found themselves in a space and time chosen to perceive the pulse of Manitou. It was a particular ceremony, a celebration of mana.
It turned out very modestly, although the essence of the event retained infinite potential. There was no error in the concept, nor in its execution. The mine turned out to be a mirror, and it simply reflected what was there, namely the spirit of the place. It was ideal because it was true. Those who came did what was natural to them at that moment. Everyone had themselves and a bounded, particular time at their disposal. It was also possible to use a group of objects placed there. Consequently, people watched and were silent, or talked to each other about their usual things, exactly as if nothing special were happening. This means that the performance succeeded, being and remaining the spirit of Manitou in people’s everyday lives. In all, the viewers/artists participated in the action for an hour. Half an hour at the beginning and half an hour at the end. In between, individual faculty staff passed through. The three hours of inner action remained the same as the rest, despite the absence of viewers and of any record or documentation. This wonderful time was filled with sounds struck on an invented instrument with the colour of a gong and a Tibetan singing bowl, rattles, audio tracks, poetry and movements of the body and various objects; I also constructed two strings and used stones and a key.

I also had threads, strings, badges, paper, rubber bands, cigarette smoke and a space full of stairs and a succession of railings at my disposal. Ultimately, a prayer of a very individual character emerged, and I became the Manitou of that time and space. A medium of mana.
