Born on March 9th, 1987 in Lublin. A writer and a visual artist. In 2012 he graduated from the Faculty of Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (B.A. in Cinematographic Art.. and Technique under the tutelage of prof. Andrzej J. Jaroszewicz). The author of numerous actions and performances, among others organized under TThe Island Group, as well as at the axhibitions of Miroslaw Balka's Spatial Activities Workshop between 2011 and 2014 ("The Border", "Hygiene", Lives of the Saints, corrected", "Cohesion", and "Urban Shaman"). The participants of the following festivals: Contexts (Sokołowsko), Interactions (Piotrków Trybunalski), inSpiracje (Szczecin) and the exhibitions: "Afther the dark" at Barbican Center (London), "Before... afther... instead... A performing axhibition" in the Cicha4 Gallery (Lublin), "Perforado" in the Raczej Gallery (Poznań). Since 2013 he has been running the Time-Space Performance. 2015: Publication of the article „What is performance” in Gazeta Polska, numerous art workshops done in a performative way for children, first of series „psi- performance” (Warsaw, Galeria Działań), „Acedia” performance. He operates at the crossroads of literature, visual arts and sounds arts, and he refers in his artistic work to the category of mystery, freedom, meeting and truth.

space intervention in the context of collective performered exhibition under the tutelage of Marta Ryczkowska. In the exhibition beside Chmioła Ewa Zarzycka, Anna Kalwajtys, Paweł Korbus, Emrah Gokdemi took part. Oskar made implementation site specific writing on the walls history of his performance done the night before the vernisage. He used special five prepared symbols of physical senses to it and two extra - mind and feeling. Next to each symbol there was a number specifying how long the artist was focusing to meet the space with given sense. This action was a try of documenting performance in such a way that audience can play it in real time.

presentation showed in „Galeria Działań” in Warsaw initializing author`s series “PSI - PERFORMANCE”. It`s a series of speech directly related to healing possibilities of performance art. Artist claims that state after watching one good performance is similar to take a drug, while the shock connected with synchronization of what was seen to what was experienced may affect e.g. getting healthy from psychical disease. From connection of these two things, artist created psi - performance conception so therapeutic performance.Conception is deepened and continued.

instal-action In London`s Barbican Centre, created for order of Institute of Polish Culture In London for exhibition with the same title. Installation was consisting of darkened space with small lit places inside. Audience was moving around and suddenly they were meeting each other in lighted areas. Moreover in one of lighted places, Oskar was standing and he had ropes tied to hands and legs. The second end of each rope was fastened to places somewhere in space. In this way each move of the artist was causing euphory by shocked audience. And in return – every jerk of the rope in space caused performers body moves. It all happened during Halloween night and in this action 2000 viewers took part.

installation as a intervention in the post-industrial space of Teatr Nowy in Warsaw. Kohezja means the occurrence of resistance by physical bodies which are separated into parts. Author has visually “collided” two balls expressing humans feelings and technology areas. Size of these balls was counted on the base of relations that occur in football between attacker and goalkeeper – for the first the ball is huge and for the other the ball is very small. He performed decomposition of infield doing calculation with proportions terms to human body. He focused on infield as a metamorphosis of“private space”. During the vernisage he made a speech about this without microphone fighting for spectators attention which was“set apart”.

action performed during the exibiton with the same title in “Neurony lustrzane” Warsaw gallery. It drawn on reading text about stereotypes and crossing out a line chart relating to the social roles. Performance was asking if human is the sum of roles, norms and social- cultural case studies. Artist was expressing his belief that human is balance between filling the roles and following his own path between what's public and what's personal in a philosophical meaning. As a result, created graphic was transmitted to the gallery owners.

in this action artist gave to prezent people closed envelopes where he hid colorful squares. Participants had to spread content of the envelope to the highlighted area on the floor. In the end the artist switched the slide to Europe map picture. Then performer put the legend with countries flags next to the map suggesting that squares are cutted flags.Situation was a comment to globalization and overpopulation.

artist is creating drawing and graphic works which main idea is “internal landscape”which is pictorial presentation of internal mental states. Artist is creating drawings in color as well. These are studios to the paintings.

In collective meeting in Sokolnicki Fort in Warsaw Oskar Chmioła has a possibility to work with so important for polish art people such as : Alastair Mac Lennan, Jagoda Kiciak, Przemysław Kwiek, Paulina Kempisty, Karolina Kubik, Paweł Korbus, Anna Łącka. Happening was variation od many artists in te topic of femininity and creating something from parts of some different things.

installation which consisted of installing very thin strings in the jambs. There was a possibility toplay on the installation what was already suggested by the words connection in the title. Installation was idealistic expression of belief in possibility of transforming energy contained in conflict for something useful. It was an expression of conviction that “differences are more interesting” and borders are creative space between sides.

illustrations done as a diploma, finishing his 7 years long education in Art gymnasium and high school in Lublin. Author is engaged in art from his youth, he was studying art already in primary school on art. excersises in Mrs. Ewa Misztal class. The story is about the man, who after going up the hill is coming to the oracle house. After short conversation about life sense he`s leaving and realizes that he`s on the foothills again. The story is asking existential question and says about looking for the truth.

Now, for an enormous mountain had risen above his head, hiding in the clouds so that its summit could not be seen.

during his first exibition artist showed sculptures and “Love” performance. Above three examples of of sculptures presented on the exhibition – on the right sculpture called “family”, on the left “human is happening”. “Love” performance was about wrapping pair of people, wearing red clothes who were dancing, in a foil. This process as a result caused immobilization creating a humans sculpture in a heart shape.

photography series where snow flakes were introduced under the microscope. Snow flakes were produced from the water which was taken from the Wisła river and he gave the glasses without any labels to the volunteers. Volunteers signed their glasses according to their own ideas and they were doing whatever they wanted witg the water for whole Christmaws time. Then author collected glasses and went to Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics PAM where he froze water from specific glass producing snow flake and taking a photo of it. In the end he presented photography series as an exhibition where next to the glass he placed the photo of snow flake. Action was inspired by a theory of “water memory” M.Emoto. Author was trying to show importance of hygiene and he decided that the most important of all these is is state of mind. In order to show the spirit he thought that it is possible to show it with something which is clearest and what we do have in our body. To do this he used water, so something what you can not clean. In this way he epistemologically got closer to show the spirit of all participant of the project. Action was done with artistic safekeeping of prof. Miroslaw Balka.

artistic statement in the topic of present art. condition performed within the internation festival “Inspirations- Extreme”. In contained three pieces: sharing password to facebook profile of the artist, street manifestation with usage of post cards and a performance where voice and image of the audience was projected on them in real time. In the whole performance he was reffering to performance art. tradition, especially in first part where he presented BODY ART tradition as a “virtual body” and substitutes problem.

acoustic installation created as a part of „Artistic playgrounds” realized in Szczecin`s “Tworzę się ” place of art for children. Artist has carried on a few music workshops with children resulting in creating few short songs.

electroacoustic installation created for a backyard on Warsaw`s “Praga”. Huge machine for listening to the sounds from the walls. Pots joined to the tenements house walls were collecting residents talks and “life”. Then with few tubes the sound was tranfered into the barrel. There was a mixer and microphone registrating soundtrack from all the tubes in the real time in the same time. As a result there was a polyphony sounds that seemed to be a live concert which everyone could hear from earphones protruding from the barrel. Installation was created in safekeeping of prof.Włodzimerz Szymański for “podwórko na Pradze” exhibition during classes on Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw.

Oskar Chmioła is a creator of Space Time performance formula. He claims that performance is his whole life since he opened the STP. According to what he says very important role of the performance is creating undedstanding between people and changes. He claims that human life consists of per phonemes and believes in the post - structuralist utopia of language acts (where speak act is one of them). From the beginning of his creation he works on bringing into life this idea by doing workshops for children and adults. The first are more happenings and the second are collective performance art. Introduction to the Czasoprzestrzeń performance was “Przestrzeń performance” inspired on “Performance Space”. Author is going beyond space in his Spacetime Performance. He points that performance is art of composing in time and space. Performance studies is a science with a very wide reach because performance is a reality. It has potential to accustom future of civilization because of its abilities to increase understanding among people and cultures. Moreover it's a synonym of a change, conscious and postaesthetic change.

characters which are graphic notation of alphabet letters read loudly. Inspiration to this was analogical relation between voice and its spectrographic equivalent in Hebrew. Alphabet is pointing out the problem of incorrect text interpretation, language and then social and cultural misunderstandings. It expresses rebellion against wide-spread schemes of interpretation. It suggests existence of a different culture with its foreign code in a contradictory way. Artist is mainly using this system in his performance art speeches and street art.

performance made In Santa John Kanty Chuch In Legionowo. Artist was rewriting text in Latin on walls, ceiling and floor in one of sacristy of the church. During the performance artist presented author`s font as well. This action was a try of showing psychical state of cleric and mistic dimension of writing. Action was taken in the context of Aacademy of Fine Arts education in Warsaw, in Studio of Spatial Activities of prof.Miroslaw Balka.

artist is leading sightseeing tours using language of art. and art means. In this action he is reducing text layer and narrating with words in order to show space-time performance. Depending on age of guiding group is a happening or a performance.
