A musical and kinetic performance from October 2023, presented at P.P. Dzwoneczek in Szczecin during “Between Sounds”, with therapists and people on the autism spectrum. Oskar Chmioła was responsible for curation and direction. The action addresses everyday sounds, the intensity of sensory stimuli and the impact of noise through an artistic experience. The musical-kinetic performance Music of Everyday Life during the event Between Sounds, marking World Music Day and the Polish National Day of People with Developmental Aphasia, with the participation of therapists and people with ASD, P.P. Dzwoneczek, Szczecin; presentation of a cycle of visual artworks created by children, young people and adults during the Creativity Classes led by Chmioła. Curatorship and direction
Music of Everyday Life is a performance showing the musical aspect of everyday reality and drawing attention to the volume of sensory stimuli reaching the brain in daily life. It is an attempt to illustrate how children with autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, developmental aphasia and related disorders process sensory stimuli, and the influence of noise on their everyday functioning.
